ZINUS Paul Wood Platform Bed Frame - Easy Assembly, Full Size for Bedroom

I really like the look and feel of this bed frame, we bought one a few years ago for our spare bedroom and ended up swapping to our master because we liked it so much. This summer we were buying bedframes for our kids rooms and I looked at a ton of different ones and decided to go with what I already knew I liked and bought this one again. We have it in king, full, and twin and are very happy with it. Really like the extra space underneath for storage, the kids like to play under, and one of our dogs likes yo sleep underneath our bed as well. We also have our robot vaccuum dock under our bed so it's our of the way!My husband was able to put together the kids' bed frames with the "help" of a 3 and 6 year old so, I'd say they are pretty easy to assemble. Once together they are very sturdy and look great. I love the slats, very comfortable and I prefer to a boxspring.This is a sturdy and strong bed. It took me less than 1 hour to put together. I love this bed better than my previous bed which was starting to fall apart after ten years. I was hesitant to buying a bed especially online as you just don’t know what you’re going to get. There are also so many reviews that are divided that’s hard to tell if it’s a good choice or not so you have to just gamble. I did with this one.The bed is a Full Bed Frame and it was quick and easy to put together. Sitting on it is super comfortable and it makes no noise at all. Also plenty of space underneath it too. Bed is steel with wood slats. I also had to carry the box upstairs and it wasn’t a problem, although I’m fit and work out regularly.The only con I would say is that the bed seems slightly shorter than my previous Full Bed Frame. I’m 5’8”. And if I was say 5’9” or more the. My feet would stick off the back of the bed. I was a bit surprised by that to be honest as I’ve always had a Full Bed Frame and that was never the case before. If I get this bed again I may go one size bigger. It’s not a big deal for me because of my height, but mentioning it in case. Or get a longer mattress.I am a pro at building furniture, but for some reason these directions confused me so much. HOWEVER, the video directions are amazing. It's a less than 2 minute video, and everything was so straightforward. I love how low this bed is to the ground while also having so much under bed storage! I have bought a Zinus bed frame in the past (Jade faux leather) and had amazing experiences with their customer service. The warranty is no joke. One of the pieces of my old bed frame broke and they sent me a new one in the mail in less than a week. That's why I was so eager to buy a new Zinus frame. I was also scared of splinters from the headboard, but it's definitely finished wood. I love this bed!No need to read the millions of other reviews, this Bed frame is a top Amazon find! So sturdy, doesn’t squeak or creak at all. The quality is outstanding, especially the solid metal legs/frame. This is the best thing that I’ve bought on Amazon by far. Instructions/assembly wise I can’t speak on that as I did not put it together. But from what my partner said it was fairly straightforward. Just buy it!1) packaging is heavy and will really really be better with 2 people to lift and assemble this item.2) well designed and sturdy pieces with metal not crummy particle board like the last airbnb I stayed at3) instructions are good, pieces were labeled well4) really helps to have 2 people so that one can hold a piece in place while the other screws the pieces together. We used a lightweight drill to speed things up.5) over all I am impressed by how nicely this turned out! Looks stylish and isn't dinky and weak. Still, be sure to check weight limits. I would say this probably isn't ideal for 2 people who each weigh 300 lbs, for example.6) I also bought a hybrid bed in a box ( part springs and part memory foam). The 2 work well together. Thx!I am blow away at how great this company made this bedframe assembly. They actually provided quality tools, easy to follow number coded instructions, and all the parts lined up perfectly. Probably the first time I've ever assembled a bed without feeling like I have carpel tunnel in my wrists. So grateful they took the time and care to make the tools and assembly so convenient. It's so rare to find a brand that pays attention to this level of detail in their products. I hope ZINUS doesn't ever lose their commitment to quality. Highly impressed. Especially for this price.This was for our 12 year old son. It looks really nice in his room, very easy to assemble - my husband did it alone in like 30 or 40 minutes- and it’s held up nicely the 2 months we’ve had it so far.Incredibly attractive and sturdy and so easy to construct I had my cat Count Whiskerton III put it together. He did a passable job for a fur person with no opposable thumbs but the bolt tightening left a lot to be desired. I should have learned as much from the children's swing set fiasco of 2017. Suffice to say I will not be placing my monthly Fancy Feast order this week. That aside, great frame. My dreams have improved four-fold since it arrived. Call it a coincidence or just plain old science.I want to say that for the price, this frame is awesome, but why qualify it? So far, this thing is just awesome! We just upgraded to a new Bloom queen mattress and wanted a new frame that wasn’t overpriced for the quality (IKEA) or way too expensive for something that’ll last. We’re new parents of twins, so our sleep is sacred, but frugalness is also key. The directions were easy even though mine included numbers and letters when the pieces themselves only had the numbers, but no big deal. This took me 45 minutes to put together by myself while the hubby watched the girls (just had him come behind to tighten everything) and all with an Allen key! They include a ratchet which is a super nice touch, but I didn’t need it, so will use for some other DIY project. I can’t yet speak to the durability since we’re only 7 days in, but I don’t hear a peep when I roll over and the bed feels sturdy/strong. It came quickly and was boxed great with as little filler as possible (although you guys may want to start using recyclables in there as opposed to styrofoam moving forward;). Finally, my room looks like an adult couple with kids live here now vs. overgrown post-college kids who’re in denial about the being adult parents thing. I think coupled with the new mattress, we’ll get great use out of this frame. We plan to use daily. Will update after a few months of usage.Très satisfaite du produit. Mon matelas ne se déplace pas (il y a un collant double face inclus qui ajoute une protection pour le maintenir en place). Les lattes sont fixées avec du Velcro sur la base de lit. Pas besoin de sommier. Les instructions d’assemblage étaient très claires avec des numéros sur les pièces selon l’ordre d’assemblage. La madame est bin contente de son achat!I usually like Zinus frames unfortunately this one has been a functional let down. It is beautiful and was easy to assemble however within a week of setting up it began to squeak; now a few weeks later the squeaks are so bad and constant they wake me if I move in my sleep. Unfortunately a bed frame is too large and heavy to ship back for a refund. Total waste of a lot of money.I seriously love every Zinus purchase I’ve made so far. Everything is nicely packaged, well made, sturdy, fast delivery, easy to set up, and you just can’t beat the price. This Zinus Sonoma Metal & Wood Platform bed is no different.I love the ample room under the platform style beds. So much storage (or hide and seek!) space.The only thing I would change about this bed is I would make the headboard a few inches wider than the frame on either side, just a style preference. Otherwise, it’s fantastic.
