Kids Twin Over Twin L-Shaped Wood Bunk Bed with Guardrails & Ladder - Space-Saving Corner Bed for Small Rooms

This bed is awesome!!! We have four boys, ages newborn to 10yrs, so we knew we'd need to change the bed situation in their room. The three oldest are 2, 4, and 10 and they are super excited about this bed. It's very sturdy and very well designed. We got the one with an attached vertical ladder that also has the trundle drawer, to prevent them from using the ladders as a weapon, or a gymnasium.... Because boys are, well, boys. The only downside to this bed style is that you can't change the orientation of the L shape like you can the other style. And that's because of the trundle bed and positioning of the ladder. My husband and I agreed that since this is for boys instead of girls it probably won't be an issue since they don't care as much about decorating or rearranging their furniture, and also again.... This has a safer ladder. But this bed is the real deal! It's lower than a standard bunk bed which was important for me too since our boys are so young still. The two younger ones are on the bottom, but if they happen to get on top the fall isn't quite so far. I will say that this took us a very long time to put together. My guess is about 6 hours. But the disclaimer is that, I had to stop and feed the newborn several times, we had to stop to have lunch, and also the 2 and 4 year old were underfoot which made things take longer as well. I will say that many of the predrilled holes were not drilled all the way. So we were hand tightening screws sometimes half the length of the screw directly into the wood. That also made things take way longer than it should have. Now, we could have just pulled out the drill and made that easier, but we didn't want to mess anything up, which is easy to do with too much torc. Also, we figured the extra effort made the bed that much more sturdy because there would be very few loose holes for the screws. It made for a long exhausting day, but we are very pleased with the result! We still haven't put the trundle drawer together yet though. Debating it that's wise with how mischievous the little ones are. The instructions were fine for us...I have an eye for details so I went by the pictures and made sure all the pieces were facing the way they demonstrate. Some of the pictures could have been better to show the parts in the back or bottom that are sort of hidden, but we were able to figure it all out without having to take anything apart. All the pieces were in the box...which some have mentioned being an issue. But fortunately, we didn't have that problem. There was only one board with a split in it, but it's not weight bearing...it's just the top rail on a top bunk. We're debating if we will have them send a replacement piece. We probably will since we want to keep this bed as long as possible. So I definitely recommend this bed! It's large so keep that in mind, but it's really worth the price and time it takes to put together!This bunk bed is great for the price! We have 3 boys that have to share a room and this is absolutely perfect for them. The assembly wasn't too difficult, my husband and I were able to put it together in a few hours. Instructions were easy to follow. We did have a couple pieces of wood that arrived damaged but the company was very responsive and sent us replacements within a few days. We've had this bed for about 4 months now and it seems to be holding up very well to 3 rowdy boys climbing up and down the ladder and wrestling on it. They love it and so do I!The parts were all labeled wonderfully, and we were not missing a single piece. I put it together with two teenage girls, and it wasn’t difficult at all. The instructions are very well drawn diagrams. They don’t have very many words, but we were still able to figure it all out easily. I’ve learned from experience not to tighten anything until it’s all put together so that you have some wiggle room, and that worked perfectly for putting this together also. There were a few pieces that had some sawdust in the holes that had to be removed before the parts would fit together properly, but it wasn’t difficult to remove. It took us a few hours total to put the whole thing together, but we stopped and had lunch about half way through. The most annoying part was screwing all the slats in at the end, but all in all, it was not a difficult project. Once together, everything is very sturdy. I bought the mahogany colored bed, and it looks really nice. It’s a great way to fit a lot of kids into one room.Perfect!!! I have 3 kids and small amount of space to work with the age ranges are from 2-12yrs old and I must say this was a great buy it came in decent amount of time even with rioting and COVID-19 situations going on and it was 2 boxes 1 was 90 something pounds and the other was a little over 100lbs I was able to put this together primarily by myself but i didn’t have some assistance which made it that much smoother for me it took a few hours to put together but it is sturdy and the kids as well as me love it I did test it out and I weigh almost 250lbs I climbed on the ladders and on the top bunks and I felt safe and secure I even had someone try to shake it while I was on it to make sure it was sturdy and able to handle me and my weight because we know how kids get when playing and climbing all over things I would definite recommend this item to anyone who needs to save space and accommodate multiple kidsFor the price of the item, there is no excuse for their not to be plugs to cover the drill holes that you don’t need! The beauty of this bed is that it can be configured two different ways which leaves drill holes that will be unused. When the bed is fully assembled there are holes in the word all over the place with nothing to plug them! It looks cheap an unfinished!I really like this purchase. The frame is made of real, good quality wood, very sturdy once put together. It took me a while day to put it together, the instruction was a bit confusing, as well as the labling of each specific piece could have been done better. I had to guess between pieces that were not labeled, even disassembling some after being placed incorrectly. Also there were missing several of the 100mm hex bolt screws ( I went and purchased my own furniture hex screws) and there was a crack in one of my top bunk side broads, in which I reached out to amazon and the distribution company, and never received a reply. My last complaint would be that I wish they sanded the wood support boards better, it is easy to get a splinter! I had to do that myself. Otherwise it's a good purchase as far as quality...Don't assemble this alone, bad idea :)Beds are GREAT for my grandkids. Love Love these twin bunk beds.
